The Darton DS-2800 shoots at a blistering 335 FPS on a small framed bow.  The DS-2800 is axle to axle 31-1/4”, 80% Let-off, 3.9 lbs, drawn ranges from 25-30”, draw weights from 40-70lbs and a lavish  7” brace height.   The bow features Dual Sync technology along with PTR (Progressive Torque Reduction) Cable guard.

Looks

The first thing to strike me about the 2800 was the size.  Last season I used the Pro3800, the bow was fast, sturdy, quiet and powerful. I can see the 2800 carries the same traits with a more compact size.  The 2nd thing was the sweet color pattern on the bow with the black riser and APG camo limbs, green/black twisted string, just looks sweet!

Shooting

I added to the bow a loop, G5 Peep, Cobra Sight, Apache NAP rest, shooting the Easton Full Metal Jacket arrows, 100 grain tips.  The first shot was at 70LBS, 29” draw, 10 yards away, dead nuts!  I was in shockt hat the 1st shot was perfect. I shot another 10 shots using the field points and was hitting my arrows.  I then moved to the RAGE practice blade and nothing changed.  The bow was quiet, fast, very comfortable, and lite. 

Feel

One of the traits Darton has been known for over the years is their grips and this bow is no different. Excellent handle on this bow, fits in your hand perfectly.  I did not notice any hand shock, arrows shot flat and fast.  The bow is easy to carry and does not torque when you shoot it.

Recommendations

Shoot this bow!  You won’t be disappointed.  It is a bow hunters dream and defiantly gives us hunters the advantage in the field.

Well, if you’re looking for a bow that is just made to hunt.I have found it for you and STROTHER has delivered it….The VALOR is just flatout RELENTLESS…SICK! SICK! SICK!! With power, speed and most of all so easy toshoot. I shot a 9pt on October 1, 2010 at 30yards with a RAGE 2 BLADE TITANIUM100G clean pass through…That’s why this bow is just sick with power. It justcan’t be stopped…LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. This bow is just a dream come true.  Here are the stats 316-324 FPS Game won’t seethat coming. Brace height 8 1/4” What did you say FORGIVING. Draw lengths27”-31” I think that’s a big range. Draw weights 50-70lbs Once again anotherbig range. Axle to Axle 33 5/8”. What did you say time to stalk? Bow weight 4lbs. Yea that’s easy to carry around.

Now we look at this bow and think different right?  Well yes, it is different, but after shooting it I was very pleased with the results.  The SpeedZone was fast, accurate, forgiving, and most of all comfortable.  I figured when I first took it out of the box it might have a ton of hand shock because of its sleek design, but that was not the case.  The machining of this bow is very precise and makes for a cool looking design. If you have not tried this bow out, get to your dealer and test it. I think you will like what you feel. Limbsaver is a great company that makes tons of products. Over the past few weeks the BHP Prostaff has tested this crossbow in our range.  We feel it is a very solid bow for the price range.  This bow is very light weight compare to other models, it is recommeneded if you want something light and light on the wallet.  On the down side it does not have much speed as it shoot up to 260FPS.  Depending on what you are hunting would determine if this bow was good for you.  Deer should not be a problem with this bow; we would use a different model on big game animals.

We just picked up the PSE Bow Madness XS.  WOW! This bow is smooth and is incredibly fast and accurate. The only down sides we found were the handle and back wall.  When you are full draw don't try letting up any, this bow will go, not much room for adjustment.  This bow will surely give the hunter a new edge on harvesting that monster whitetail this season.  The bow is very fast and at Axle-to-axle length: 31-1/2''. Brace height: 7-1/8'' it makes for a very accurate shot.
